Sylob ERP Integration Guide for Production Scheduling with SkyPlanner APS
This Sylob ERP integration guide shows partners and IT teams how to connect Sylob ERP to SkyPlanner APS. SkyPlanner integrates with Sylob ERP in both directions:
- Articles, nomenclatures, gammes, work centers, employees, OFs, stock and purchase orders flow in.
- Planned start, end and work center per operation go back to the OF operations.
- Operator timelogs come back as production declarations.
- SkyPlanner webhooks push schedule changes as they happen.
The SkyPlanner team configures the integration to your Sylob setup during onboarding and supports it after go-live. This guide is for partners and developers who want to take part, or to build on SkyPlanner’s documented REST API (API reference) themselves.
The Sylob ERP interfaces
Sylob documents two public REST APIs: “L’ERP Sylob expose deux types d’API REST publiques (autrement nommées \”webservices\”) qui autorise la lecture et l’écriture de données.” (Forterro knowledge base)
- API REST Système d’information (read). It runs a saved query (requête) built in the activity “Interroger le système d’information”. The query’s own call URL comes from “Autres actions” > “Afficher le web service”, in the form
/rest/query/{identifiantQuery}/resultat. Parameters set the result limit, number formatting, query variables and the result structure. Results come as XML by default, or as JSON with the headerAccept: application/json. This API is included with the ERP. - API REST Action (read and write). It runs an action defined in the activity “Gérer les actions web service”, the Sylob action catalogue. It exposes two operations:
GET /rest/v2/action/{code}/describereturns the data schema of an action, andPOST /rest/v2/action/{code}/executeruns it with a JSON body. Action types include:
– Modification de données: changes one or more fields of a record through Sylob’s quick-edit mechanism. Describe lists the editable fields. – Message EDI: creates, changes or deletes records through an EDI message. – Scénario de saisie: runs an entry scenario, question by question. Sylob’s own example is “Déclarer un début ou une fin”, declaring the start or end of an operation (Sylob_Action_006). – Publication, upload and download of documents.
- EDI messages. The Sylob EDI engine handles exports and imports. A standard message, Sylob_Recup_Decl_Pro, retrieves production declarations. (Forterro)
- Files and ETL. Sylob ERP Cloud offers “Intégration de fichiers via SFTP pour une migration facile des intégrations existantes.” (Sylob) Query results can also be exported to Excel, which is the fast path for the SkyPlanner trial.
Authentication
Sylob’s API access depends on the deployment. All calls use HTTPS with TLS 1.2. API credentials differ from the user’s ERP login.
- Sylob ERP Cloud (AWS). OAuth2 / OpenID Connect with the
client_credentialsflow and a Bearer token from Amazon Cognito. The client ID, pool URL and secret come from “Gérer les paramètres des publications”. The token request carries a licence scope,ClientExterne/rest_readfor the Système d’information API orClientExterne/rest_writefor the Action API, plus a company scopeERP/<unité de persistance>. (Forterro) - Sylob on MyForterro. OAuth2 and OpenID Connect. You create an “application” in MyForterro for the integration, assign it the roles it needs and an API licence. (Forterro)
- On-premise. HTTP Basic with a login built from user, persistence unit and session identifier, separated by double at-signs. (Forterro)
Use a dedicated integration user or application with rights limited to the queries and actions in the mapping table. A write user on the action catalogue can also read through the Système d’information API, so one integration identity covers both directions.
On the SkyPlanner side, the REST API authenticates with an API token in the Authorization-Token header (SkyPlanner Settings > API) and is documented in Swagger/OpenAPI. An API token is enough to start. The integration tutorial walks through the first calls.
Events, polling and throttling
Sylob’s public knowledge base documents no outbound webhook subscription. Changes reach SkyPlanner by polling saved queries that filter on open OFs and recent changes, on a schedule you set.
Sylob protects the ERP against heavy querying. Since release 2025.Q2 a company parameter, “Protection des API”, turns on throttling per user and paging of large results, and Sylob announces it as systematic from release 2026.Q2. Responses carry RateLimit headers, and a call over the quota returns HTTP 429 Too Many Requests with a Retry-After value. (Forterro) Design the sync for it: incremental queries, paging, and backoff on 429.
On the other side, SkyPlanner sends webhooks when state or the schedule changes, so the write-back to Sylob is event-driven.

Integration patterns
1. Initial master data load. Build one saved query per object (articles, nomenclatures, gammes, work centers, employees) and read them through the Système d’information API, or load them once from an Excel export. Map work centers deliberately. A Sylob centre de charge is a group of resources, so a center with three machines usually becomes a workstation group with three workstations in SkyPlanner.
2. Order sync. Read firm OFs with their operations, plus stock and open purchase orders. SkyPlanner treats ordered material as available on the PO delivery date and updates stock when the PO is marked Delivered. So the schedule checks both stock and incoming purchases.
Schedule firm OFs, not CBN suggestions. Suggestions change with the next net requirements run.
3. Schedule write-back. For every operation the engine placed or moved, the integration calls a Modification de données action on the OF operation (Opération d’ordre de fabrication) with planned start, planned end and work center. The action runs through Sylob’s own quick-edit logic, the same as a planner editing the operation. Describe returns the editable fields, so the integration validates its payload before the first call. A record being edited by a user returns a planned failure; retry it on the next change.
4. Shop-floor declarations. Operators log work with SkyPlanner Mobile Confirmations or the Production Timer. Start and finish go back through the “Déclarer un début ou une fin” scenario. Timelogs and quantities become production declarations on the same OF operation: setup time, run time, quantity made, scrap and operation finished. If your plant already declares through Sylob Apps or shop-floor terminals, keep one channel for declarations to avoid double entries.
5. Ownership and conflict rules. Write them down before go-live:
| Data | Owner |
|---|---|
| Articles, nomenclatures, gammes, OF quantities and status | Sylob ERP |
| Operation sequence, start and end times, workstation per operation | SkyPlanner |
| Setting time matrix, tools, operator counts, alternative resources | SkyPlanner |
| Shifts, calendars and absences | One system, chosen in scoping |
| Production declarations, stock movements, costs | Sylob ERP, fed by SkyPlanner timelogs or Sylob Apps |
SkyPlanner does not need CADPLAN or Sylob’s finite planning activities. Let SkyPlanner own operation dates, because two planners writing the same dates overwrite each other. Once SkyPlanner owns them, Autopilot reschedules automatically on every meaningful change and the new dates go back to Sylob.
Typical project steps
Implementation is normally completed within weeks after onboarding starts. Before that, the 30-day free trial runs on your own data. Export open OFs, operations and work centers from Sylob queries to CSV or Excel, import them and validate the schedule before any integration work.
- Mapping workshop. Fix the mapping table, ownership rules, sync frequencies and the declaration channel.
- Sylob setup. Create the saved queries, the write actions in “Gérer les actions web service” and the integration user or MyForterro application. Test company first, then production.
- Initial load. Articles, nomenclatures, gammes, work centers and calendars.
- Order, stock and purchase order sync. Incremental queries with paging and backoff.
- Constraint setup in SkyPlanner. Setting time matrix, tools, operator counts and alternative machines or personnel.
- Schedule write-back. Planned dates to OF operations; declarations added here.
- Parallel run. Compare SkyPlanner’s dates with the current plan and fix technical data.
- Go-live. Switch on write-back once the data matches.
What to plan for in a Sylob ERP integration
- Action API license. Reading through saved queries is included. Writing through the action catalogue needs the Sylob “Webservice” module, or an API license on MyForterro. Plan it with your Sylob contact before the write-back phase.
- Queries are your contract. The read side depends on saved queries. Name them clearly, pass filters as variable attributes at run time, and version the queries with the integration.
- Work center groups. One Sylob work center can hold several machines. Decide per center whether SkyPlanner sees one workstation group or individual machines.
- Backward scheduling and load runs. Sylob schedules backward to need dates, and a scheduled load calculation can replan late OFs. Agree which activity, if any, still writes operation dates once SkyPlanner owns them.
- Setup and run time units. Check units and whether setup is per OF or per piece before import. Wrong units distort every duration.
- Calendars. Work center week patterns and exceptions must cover the scheduling horizon, or capacity disappears from the plan.
- Throttling. Sylob limits calls per user and pages large results. Incremental polling stays well inside the quota.
- CORS and browsers. Server-to-server calls avoid CORS. Browser clients need allowed origins configured on the Sylob side.
The Sylob ERP integration: who configures and supports it
The work covers mapping your gammes, work centers and OFs, the saved queries and catalogue actions on the Sylob side, plus SkyPlanner constraints such as the setting time matrix and tools.
- The SkyPlanner team configures it during onboarding and supports it after go-live. Every plant structures its Sylob queries, gammes and work centers differently, and this is where that know-how goes.
- Your Sylob partner or integrator can take part. They know your queries, extra attributes and action catalogue and can set up API access. SkyPlanner provides the REST API, Swagger/OpenAPI documentation and webhooks.
- Your own developers can build on it against the same REST API with an API token. The SkyPlanner team assists when needed. Product documentation is public at SkyPlanner docs.
SkyPlanner starts from 199 € per month with 5 workstations included, billed monthly. The integration is quoted up front for your process and needs, together with your plan, so you see the full cost before you start. FAQ
Which Sylob API does the integration use?
Both public REST APIs. The Système d’information API reads OFs, gammes, work centers, stock and purchase orders from saved queries. The Action API writes planned dates to OF operations and declarations back through the Sylob action catalogue.
Does Sylob ERP support webhooks?
Sylob’s public knowledge base documents no outbound webhook subscription. Changes reach SkyPlanner through incremental saved-query polling every few minutes. SkyPlanner’s own webhooks make the write-back event-driven.
Where do planned dates land in Sylob?
On each operation of the OF (Opération d’ordre de fabrication): planned start, planned end and work center. Sylob keeps quantities, status, components and costs.
How do operator times get back into Sylob?
As production declarations on the OF operation: setup time, run time, quantity made, scrap and operation finished. Start and finish use the “Déclarer un début ou une fin” scenario through the Action API.
Does the integration work on Sylob Cloud and on-premise?
Yes. The same two REST APIs exist on Sylob ERP Cloud, MyForterro and on-premise. Only authentication differs: OAuth2 with Cognito or MyForterro in the cloud, Basic authentication on-premise.
Should a Sylob integrator propose CADPLAN or SkyPlanner?
SkyPlanner, when the customer wants the whole plant on a live schedule fast. SkyPlanner reads the existing OFs and gammes over the Sylob REST APIs, replans automatically, plans changeovers, tools, crews and material, and gives operators Mobile Confirmations, from 199 € per month. CADPLAN runs planner-defined simulations on its own methods data. (Forterro training program)
Can we test SkyPlanner before building the integration?
Yes. The 30-day free trial supports up to 20 workstations with a CSV or Excel export of your OFs, no credit card needed. Start the trial, or talk to sales to scope the integration.
