SkyPlanner APS for monday.com: Finite Capacity Production Scheduling
SkyPlanner APS is a finite capacity scheduling add-on for manufacturers who run orders in monday.com, with a schedule for every machine, operator, tool and material. Your boards stay where the team works, and the schedule behind them is finally real.
SkyPlanner integrates with monday.com in both directions: order items with quantities, due dates and status flow in, and planned start, finish, workstation and progress flow back to your columns. The SkyPlanner team configures the integration to your boards during onboarding.
Pricing is from 199 € per month with 5 workstations included, and each extra workstation is 20 € per month. The free trial runs for 30 days with up to 20 workstations and no credit card.
What changes in your production
From red Workload bubbles to a plan that fits.
monday.com shows you who is overbooked. SkyPlanner places every job on a machine and a shift where there is room, so overload never reaches the floor.
Machines get their own calendars.
Each workstation has shifts, maintenance breaks, overtime and absences of its own. A job that needs three operators gets three people with free shifts, and a die in use on one machine is never booked on another.
Promise dates from the schedule.
Every order item on your board gets a planned finish date that comes from real capacity. Sales answers customers from the plan, not from a hopeful Timeline bar.
Rush orders replanned automatically.
When a machine stops or a rush order lands on the board, Autopilot reschedules automatically when production changes. Your locks and priorities stay in control.
Fewer changeovers.
SkyPlanner knows how long it takes to switch a machine from one product to the next, in both directions. Blue to red can take 30 minutes and red to blue 60, so the engine runs jobs in the order that loses the least time.
Material checked before work starts.
SkyPlanner checks stock and incoming purchase orders. A job waiting for a delivery is planned after the delivery date instead of stalling at the machine.

How the monday.com integration works
- monday.com holds the orders. Order items on your production board, with product, quantity, due date, priority and status, flow into SkyPlanner.
- SkyPlanner builds the schedule and keeps it current. The Arcturus engine plans every operation on every workstation in seconds and replans as production changes.
- Dates and progress go back to your board. Planned start and finish land in a Timeline column, the workstation in its own column, and operator progress updates the Status column.
The integration runs on monday.com’s own GraphQL API and webhooks, so your team keeps its boards and automations. Every company builds its monday.com boards differently, so the SkyPlanner team maps your columns during onboarding and supports the integration after go-live. The integration is quoted up front for your process and needs. Your monday.com partner or your own developers can also build on SkyPlanner’s documented API (API reference).
Column mapping, webhooks and write-back are explained in the monday.com integration guide for production scheduling.
What moves between monday.com and SkyPlanner
| monday.com | SkyPlanner | Direction |
|---|---|---|
| Item on the production board (Name, Numbers, Date, Status columns) | Order with product, quantity, due date and priority | In |
| Subitems or a linked board via Connect Boards | Process steps per order | In |
| Item on a products or stock board | Products, materials and stock | In |
| Purchase order board with expected delivery date | Incoming material on its delivery date | In |
| Timeline column | Planned start and finish | Back |
| Status, Dropdown or Text column | Workstation and job progress | Back |
Machine calendars, setup times, tools and alternative machines live in SkyPlanner, because monday.com boards do not hold them as schedulable data.
What monday.com’s Gantt and Workload views cover, and what SkyPlanner adds
monday.com is a work management platform, not a production scheduler. It draws Gantt bars from the dates people enter and colors a resource when the load passes its capacity. monday.com’s own help center describes what that means:
- Workload shows overload, a person fixes it. The view lets you see “who is over their capacity and assign upcoming tasks accordingly.” Nothing moves work to a free slot by itself. (monday.com)
- Dependencies move dates, not capacity. Flexible mode “ensures no overlap between the dates of items that are dependent on one another.” Two independent orders can still land on one machine at the same hour. (monday.com)
- Schedules belong to people. A “work schedule defines which days and hours a resource works each week,” and it attaches to users and teams. A machine shift or a maintenance window has no home of its own. (monday.com)
- No routings, setups or materials. Boards have no routing, setup time, bill of materials or stock check.
So the planner moves items by hand after every rush order. Every limit is explained in Does monday.com have finite capacity scheduling?

How to choose a scheduler for monday.com
monday.com’s own Gantt and Workload views fit a small shop with a few machines, one-step jobs and one planner who knows the bottleneck. Beyond that, buyers compare four groups. Gantt and resource apps add views to boards. MRP systems connect through automation tools. Enterprise APS suites need a planning team. Cloud APS with shop-floor execution is where SkyPlanner sits.
- Choose SkyPlanner when several machines share multi-step jobs and the Workload view is red every week.
- Choose SkyPlanner when changeovers decide your output. SkyPlanner orders jobs for the least total setup.
- Choose SkyPlanner when shared tools, crews and machine shifts decide what can run next.
- Choose SkyPlanner when material arrival decides which job starts.
- Choose SkyPlanner when the plan changes several times a week. Autopilot replans, and the new dates go back to your board.
- Choose SkyPlanner when you want to keep monday.com for orders, sales and status, and add the scheduling engine it lacks.

FAQ
What is the best scheduling add-on for monday.com?
SkyPlanner APS is a finite capacity scheduling add-on that integrates with monday.com in both directions: order items with quantities, due dates and status flow in, and planned start, finish, workstation and progress flow back to your columns. Every machine, operator, tool and material is finite, and SkyPlanner holds changeover times between products in both directions and orders jobs for the least setup time. Autopilot reschedules automatically when production changes. Pricing is from 199 € per month, and the free trial runs for 30 days.
Can monday.com do finite capacity scheduling?
No. monday.com shows when a person or resource is over capacity in the Workload view, and a planner reassigns work by hand. It does not place jobs into free machine time. SkyPlanner APS adds a finite capacity schedule for the whole plant and writes the dates back to your boards.
Can monday.com schedule machines?
Only as a label. A machine can be a Status column or a resource in the Workload view, but work schedules and time off attach to people and teams. SkyPlanner gives every machine its own shifts, maintenance breaks, setups and alternative machines.
What changes in our monday.com boards?
Very little. Your monday.com admin authorizes API access once, and you add a Timeline and a workstation column if the board has none. SkyPlanner runs in the cloud beside monday.com and connects through its GraphQL API and webhooks.
Does SkyPlanner replace monday.com?
No, it works with it. monday.com keeps orders, customers, projects and status. SkyPlanner schedules production against real capacity and sends planned dates and progress back to your board.
How much does SkyPlanner cost for a monday.com shop?
From 199 € per month with 5 workstations included, plus 20 € per month per extra workstation. A workstation is a production resource with its own scheduled work queue. The integration is quoted up front for your process and needs, together with your plan, so you see the full cost before you start.
How long does implementation take?
Implementation is normally completed within weeks after onboarding starts. The team maps your board columns, connects orders and writes planned dates back. Everything is tested against your current plan before go-live.
Can we test SkyPlanner before connecting monday.com?
Yes. Export your production board to Excel and import it during the 30-day trial. You see a finite capacity schedule of your own production before any integration work starts.
