SkyPlanner APS for Infor CloudSuite Industrial (SyteLine): Finite Capacity Production Scheduling
SkyPlanner APS gives Infor CloudSuite Industrial (CSI, formerly SyteLine) manufacturers a finite capacity schedule for every workstation, operator, tool and material. You see which job runs where and when, and Autopilot reschedules automatically when production changes.
SkyPlanner integrates with CloudSuite Industrial in both directions: job orders, operations, items, resources, stock and purchase orders flow in, and planned operation dates and logged labor flow back. The SkyPlanner team configures the integration to your CSI setup during onboarding.
Pricing is from 199 € per month with 5 workstations included, and each extra workstation is 20 € per month. The free trial runs for 30 days with up to 20 workstations and no credit card.
What changes in your production
No more overbooked machines.
Every machine, person and tool gets a finite schedule with real shifts, absences and overtime. A die in use on one machine is never booked on another, and a job that needs three operators gets three people with free shifts. When a machine is busy, work moves to an alternative machine or person.
Delivery dates you can promise.
The schedule shows when each order will really finish. You answer customers from the plan, not from a guess.
Rush orders and breakdowns replanned automatically.
When a machine stops, a rush order lands or work finishes early, Autopilot reschedules automatically. Your locks and priorities stay in control.
Fewer changeovers.
SkyPlanner knows how long it takes to switch a machine from one product to the next, in both directions. Blue to red can take 30 minutes and red to blue 60. The schedule runs jobs in the order that loses the least time to setups.
A schedule that respects material.
SkyPlanner checks stock and incoming purchase orders. A job waiting for a vendor delivery is planned after that delivery date instead of stopping on the floor.
Operators see their queue.
Each operator sees the next jobs on a phone or tablet and logs work as it happens. The office sees progress live, and the logged work goes back to CloudSuite Industrial as job transactions.

How SkyPlanner works with CloudSuite Industrial
CloudSuite Industrial sends the work.
Job orders, operations, resources, stock and purchase orders flow into SkyPlanner.
SkyPlanner builds the schedule and keeps it current.
The Arcturus engine plans every operation in seconds and replans as production changes.
Dates and logged work go back.
Planned operation dates return to the jobs in CSI, and logged labor arrives as job transactions for CSI to post.
SkyPlanner runs in the cloud and connects through Infor’s own standard interfaces, so no SkyPlanner software is installed in CSI. Every plant runs CSI differently, so the SkyPlanner team configures the integration to your setup during onboarding and supports it after go-live. The integration is quoted up front for your process and needs. Your Infor partner or your own developers can also build on SkyPlanner’s documented API (API reference).
The technical details are in the CloudSuite Industrial integration guide for production scheduling.
Where CloudSuite Industrial’s own scheduling falls short
CloudSuite Industrial plans finitely with its licensed APS module and sequences near-term work with the Scheduler. Without the license, Infor’s documentation is plain: “If the APS module is unlicensed, APS Planning can only be run in Infinite mode.” Even with it, daily production looks like this:
- Replanning waits for the planner. After a breakdown, the schedule stays as it was until someone moves operations or reruns the Scheduler. A rush order only gets the capacity that is still free.
- Changes go in one operation at a time. Each Gantt edit is checked on its own, and the planner fixes the follow-on operations by hand.
- Two engines to keep in step. APS plans the longer horizon and the Scheduler the next day, so planners have to know which run set which date.
Every layer is explained in Does Infor CloudSuite Industrial have finite capacity scheduling?
CloudSuite Industrial alone vs with SkyPlanner
| CloudSuite Industrial alone | CloudSuite Industrial with SkyPlanner APS | |
|---|---|---|
| Capacity | Finite APS only with the APS license | Every machine, person and tool has real capacity and shifts |
| Schedule | APS runs plus a daily Scheduler run | Detailed schedule for every operation in seconds |
| Changeovers | Setup tables per resource group | Jobs ordered for the least setup time, in both directions |
| Materials | MRP plans material without capacity | Jobs start when stock or incoming deliveries are there |
| Changes | Planner edits the Gantt or reruns the Scheduler | Autopilot replans the whole plant within your priorities |
| Shop floor | Labor and job transactions entered in CSI | Operators see their queue and log work on phone or tablet |
How to choose a scheduler for CloudSuite Industrial
CloudSuite Industrial’s own APS and Scheduler fit a plant with a licensed APS module, accurate routings and a floor that changes little between Scheduler runs.
- Choose SkyPlanner when planners spend the morning moving operations on the Resource Gantt. Autopilot replans, and Running Time Lock keeps started work in place.
- Choose SkyPlanner when changeovers decide your output. SkyPlanner orders jobs for the least total setup.
- Choose SkyPlanner when shared tools and crews decide what can run next.
- Choose SkyPlanner when material arrival decides which job starts.
- Choose SkyPlanner when you want finite scheduling without licensing and tuning the APS module.
- Choose SkyPlanner when you want scheduling and shop-floor reporting in one tool.
How to get started
- Start the free trial. 30 days, up to 20 workstations, all Basic features, no credit card.
- Model your production. Create workstations from your CSI resources and resource groups, then add shifts, tools and changeover times. Assisted onboarding is available.
- Load your jobs. Export open jobs and operations from CSI with Save to Excel, import them and compare SkyPlanner’s schedule with your current plan.
- Connect CloudSuite Industrial. The SkyPlanner team configures the two-way integration and supports it once you are live.
Pricing. Plans are billed monthly per workstation, and you can add or remove workstations or cancel at any time. See pricing for the details.
FAQ
Does Infor CloudSuite Industrial have finite capacity scheduling?
Yes, in two places. Finite APS Planning needs the APS license, and the Scheduler sequences near-term operations that planners adjust on a Gantt. SkyPlanner APS adds automatic replanning across every resource, with changeovers, tools, crews and material in one schedule.
Do we need to install anything in CloudSuite Industrial?
No. SkyPlanner runs in the cloud beside CSI and connects through Infor’s standard IDO REST API and ION. On-premises SyteLine connects through the same IDO layer.
Does SkyPlanner replace CloudSuite Industrial manufacturing?
No, it works on top of it. CSI keeps items, BOMs, MRP, purchasing, inventory, costing and finance. SkyPlanner schedules firm and released jobs against real capacity and sends dates and labor back.
How much does SkyPlanner cost for a CloudSuite Industrial shop?
From 199 € per month with 5 workstations included, plus 20 € per month per extra workstation. A workstation is a production resource with its own scheduled work queue. The price does not depend on your Infor subscription or APS license. The integration is quoted up front for your process and needs, together with your plan, so you see the full cost before you start.
How long does implementation take?
Implementation is normally completed within weeks after onboarding starts. The team maps your resources and routings, connects jobs and purchase orders, and sends planned dates and labor back. Everything is tested against your current plan before go-live.
Can we test SkyPlanner before integrating with CloudSuite Industrial?
Yes. The 30-day trial runs on an Excel export from CSI. You see a finite capacity schedule of your own jobs and resources before any integration work starts.
Do we need the CSI APS license to use SkyPlanner?
No. SkyPlanner schedules finitely from CSI job orders, operations and resources on its own. MRP or Infinite APS can keep planning materials in CSI.
