HELIOS Integration Guide for Production Scheduling with SkyPlanner APS
This HELIOS integration guide shows partners and IT teams how to connect HELIOS iNuvio and HELIOS Nephrite to SkyPlanner APS. SkyPlanner integrates with HELIOS in both directions, using HELIOS’s own interfaces:
- Production orders (výrobní příkazy) with their operations, manufactured parts, BOMs, routings, workplaces, machines, professions, personnel resources, stock and purchase orders flow in.
- Planned start and finish dates go back to the production orders.
- Operator timelogs can post back as operation records (evidence výrobních operací), if you choose.
- SkyPlanner webhooks push schedule changes as they happen.
The SkyPlanner team configures the integration to your HELIOS setup during onboarding and supports it after go-live. This guide is for HELIOS partners and developers who want to take part, or to build on SkyPlanner’s documented REST API (API reference) themselves.
HELIOS’s integration interfaces
Helios Inuvio Server (Inuvio REST API). Asseco describes it as a separate part of HELIOS iNuvio that gives REST API access to HELIOS iNuvio agendas (Helios Inuvio Server help). It ships with the iNuvio distribution, and the OpenAPI specification is published in Rapidoc and Redoc form. The API works on HELIOS overviews (browses), each with its own ID and rights:
- GET /browses/list and GET /browses/meta list the available overviews and their columns.
- /browses/data reads rows of an overview, and writes rows where the overview allows create, update and delete.
- /api/v1/actions/meta and /api/v1/actions/execute/{dbName}/{browseIdent}/{actionIdent} run external actions on an overview. Today these are external actions of type Procedure, Browse and Plugin.
The production overviews a scheduler uses include the production plan (výrobní plán), production orders (výrobní příkazy), production order parts, materials and semi-finished goods for production, professions, personnel resources, routing operation presets and operation records. Stock, receipts, issues and issued purchase orders (vydané objednávky) are available the same way.
HELIOS Nephrite REST API. The Nephrite roadmap lists REST API development (HELIOS Nephrite roadmap). The SkyPlanner team confirms the Nephrite endpoints for your installation with you and your HELIOS partner during scoping, and the data flows below stay the same.
Excel and CSV. Every HELIOS overview exports to Microsoft Office, which is enough for the trial load.
Authentication and licensing
- Two auth routes. iNuvio offers an older proprietary auth API (/api/token) and a newer OAuth2 API built on RFC 6749 (/oauth/token, /oauth/revoke). Tokens are refreshed through POST /oauth/token or GET /api/token.
- Licensing. Helios Inuvio Server itself is free, and the REST API is licensed. From version 3.0.2026.0301 the system and agenda APIs are merged into one Inuvio REST API, and API access is no longer limited by the number of users.
- Rights. The integration user needs read rights on the production and stock overviews and the right to run the agreed external actions.
On the SkyPlanner side, the REST API authenticates with an API token in the Authorization-Token header (SkyPlanner Settings > API) and is documented in Swagger/OpenAPI. The integration tutorial walks through the first calls.
Events and polling
SkyPlanner reads HELIOS on a schedule. Calls to /browses/data, filtered to open production orders and recent changes, pick up new work. The frequency is set per plant, from every few minutes for production orders to hourly for stock.
SkyPlanner sends webhooks when state or the schedule changes, so the write-back side is event-driven.
Data mapping

| BOMs (kusovník, kusovníkové vazby) with date validity | Product structure, subproducts, materials per product | HELIOS → SkyPlanner | Initial load, then on change |
| Routings (technologický postup): operation, workplace, machine and operator preparation time, unit time, finishing time, inter-operation time | Process steps with durations, setup and teardown times | HELIOS → SkyPlanner | Initial load, then on change |
| Workplaces (pracoviště), machines (stroje), alternative workplaces | Workstations, workstation groups, alternative workstations | HELIOS → SkyPlanner | Initial load, rarely after |
| Professions (výrobní profese), personnel resources (výrobní personální zdroje) | Personnel and operator counts per job | HELIOS → SkyPlanner | Initial load, then on change |
| Planning calendars (plánovací kalendáře) | Shifts and non-working days | HELIOS → SkyPlanner | Daily, or own shifts in SkyPlanner |
| Production orders (výrobní příkazy), order parts and operations, materials for production | Orders and jobs with due dates and material needs | HELIOS → SkyPlanner | Polling every few minutes |

| Issued purchase orders (vydané objednávky) with delivery dates | Purchase orders, incoming material by delivery date | HELIOS → SkyPlanner | Polling, hourly or on schedule run |
| Planned start and finish per production order operation (external action) | Planned start and end per job | SkyPlanner → HELIOS | On schedule change, via SkyPlanner webhook |
| Operation records (evidence výrobních operací) | Timelogs and operator confirmations | SkyPlanner → HELIOS | Per confirmation or per shift, if chosen |
| Not in HELIOS | Setting time matrix, tools as finite resources, multi-operator jobs | Maintained in SkyPlanner | Set up during onboarding |
Integration patterns
1. Initial master data load. Read manufactured parts, BOMs, routings, workplaces, machines, professions, personnel resources and calendars from TPV overviews. Each HELIOS resource carries a flag to include it in capacity planning, so decide per resource what SkyPlanner schedules. A workplace with four machines becomes one workstation group or four workstations.
2. Order sync. Read production orders with their parts, operations and materials, plus issued purchase orders. SkyPlanner treats ordered material as available on the PO delivery date and updates stock when the PO is marked Delivered. Schedule released production orders. Planned quantities in the production plan stay in HELIOS until they become production orders.
3. Schedule write-back. When the engine places or moves a job, a SkyPlanner webhook triggers an external action on the production order overview through /api/v1/actions/execute. The action is a HELIOS procedure, agreed in scoping, that sets the planned start and finish of the order operation. HELIOS validates the change inside its own logic.
4. Shop-floor confirmations. Operators log work with SkyPlanner Mobile Confirmations or the Production Timer, and the timelogs keep the schedule current. You choose whether actual times post back to HELIOS. If yes, an external action records them as operation records per order operation. If no, operators keep reporting on HELIOS terminals and SkyPlanner reads those records.
5. Ownership and conflict rules. Write them down before go-live:
| Data | Owner |
|---|---|
| Items, BOMs, routings, quantities, order status | HELIOS |
| Operation sequence, start and finish times, machine assignment | SkyPlanner |
| Setting time matrix, tool and operator requirements, alternative resources | SkyPlanner |
| Shifts and non-working days | One system, chosen in scoping |
| Operation records, material issues and receipts | HELIOS, entered there or posted from SkyPlanner timelogs |
Pick one writer of order dates. If HELIOS capacity planning or Nephrite APS still writes dates, switch that off for orders SkyPlanner schedules, or keep the HELIOS plan as a test plan only.
Typical project steps
Implementation is normally completed within weeks after onboarding starts. Before that, validate the schedule in the 30-day free trial with workplaces, routings and open production orders exported from HELIOS as CSV or Excel.
- Mapping. Fix the mapping table, ownership rules, sync frequencies and whether operation records post back.
- HELIOS access. Set up Helios Inuvio Server, the integration user, OAuth2 credentials and REST API licensing. Test on a copy database first.
- Initial load. Manufactured parts, BOMs, routings, workplaces, machines, professions, calendars.
- Order and purchase order sync. Polling with filters, paging and retries.
- Constraint setup in SkyPlanner. Setting time matrix, tools, operator counts per job and alternative machines or personnel.
- Schedule write-back. Create and test the external actions for planned dates and, if chosen, operation records.
- Parallel testing. Run SkyPlanner beside the current plan, compare dates, fix master data.
- Go-live. Switch on write-back once the data matches.
What to plan for in a HELIOS integration
- Planning flags. Only resources flagged for capacity planning have reliable capacity data. Check the flags on workplaces, machines, professions and subcontracts before the first load.
- Time units. Preparation, unit and finishing times can be entered in hours, minutes or seconds. Convert on import or every duration is wrong.
- Inter-operation time. The constant inter-operation time is waiting between operations, not machine time. Model it as a wait, not as capacity.
- Subcontract operations (kooperace). Transport time applies on the way out and back. Model subcontracts as time-only steps.
- Writable overviews. Every overview supports reads, but only some support create, update and delete. GET /browses/list with the filter browseCreateImplemented=1 shows which ones. Production orders are read-only overviews, so planned dates go back through the agreed external action.
Who configures and supports the HELIOS integration
- The SkyPlanner team configures it during onboarding and supports it after go-live, across the agreed overviews and external actions. Every plant runs HELIOS differently, and this is where that know-how goes.
- Your HELIOS partner can take part. The partner knows your installation, custom procedures and licensing, and can set up Helios Inuvio Server and the external actions alongside the SkyPlanner team.
- Your own developers can build on it against SkyPlanner’s REST API with an API token. An API token is enough to start, and the SkyPlanner team assists when needed. Integration documentation is at SkyPlanner integration docs.
SkyPlanner starts from 199 € per month with 5 workstations included, billed monthly. The integration is quoted up front for your process and needs, together with your plan. FAQ
Does HELIOS have an API for production orders?
Yes. Helios Inuvio Server gives REST access to HELIOS iNuvio overviews, including the production plan, production orders, order parts, materials for production and operation records. For HELIOS Nephrite, the SkyPlanner team sets the route for your installation with you and your HELIOS partner during onboarding scoping.
How does SkyPlanner pick up changes in HELIOS?
SkyPlanner polls the HELIOS overviews on a schedule set per plant, filtered to open production orders and recent changes. SkyPlanner’s own webhooks push schedule changes as they happen.
How are planned dates written back to HELIOS?
Through an external action on the production order overview, run with /api/v1/actions/execute. The action is a HELIOS procedure agreed in scoping, so HELIOS applies its own logic to every date it receives.
Which authentication does the Inuvio REST API use?
OAuth2 per RFC 6749 at /oauth/token, or the older proprietary /api/token. SkyPlanner’s own API uses an API token in the Authorization-Token header.
Should a HELIOS partner propose HELIOS APS or SkyPlanner?
SkyPlanner, when the customer’s plan changes often and capacity must stay finite. HELIOS planning runs as calculations on one active plan, can switch to unlimited capacity to meet dates, and leaves collisions to the planner (HELIOS help). SkyPlanner connects through the REST API, replans automatically, plans changeovers, tools, crews and material, and has unlimited users, from 199 € per month.
Can we test SkyPlanner before building the integration?
Yes. The 30-day free trial supports up to 20 workstations with CSV or Excel imports from HELIOS, no credit card needed. Start the trial, or talk to sales to scope the integration.
