SkyPlanner APS for Divalto: Finite Capacity Production Scheduling

SkyPlanner APS is a finite capacity scheduling add-on for Divalto infinity that schedules every machine, operator, tool and material. You see which OF operation runs on which poste de travail and when, and Autopilot reschedules automatically when production changes.

SkyPlanner APS Gantt timeline with jobs scheduled across workstations and an order list below.

SkyPlanner integrates with Divalto in both directions. Manufacturing orders (OF) with their séquences, gammes, nomenclatures, articles, centres de charge, postes de travail, opérateurs, outillages, stock and supplier orders flow in. Planned start and end dates for every OF and séquence flow back, together with logged time and completed cycles. The SkyPlanner team configures the integration to your Divalto setup during onboarding.

Pricing is from 199 € per month with 5 workstations included, and each extra workstation is 20 € per month. The free trial runs for 30 days with up to 20 workstations and no credit card.

What changes in your production

Every OF gets a real slot on a real poste.

SkyPlanner places each séquence on a specific poste de travail at a specific time. Shifts, absences and overtime set the capacity, and other OF on the same poste count. The plan is one your shop can run.

Changeovers cost less.

SkyPlanner holds the setup time between each pair of products, in both directions. Dark to light paint needs a full clean, light to dark only a short flush. The engine runs jobs in the order that loses the least time.

People and tools are finite too.

A séquence that needs three operators gets three people with free shifts. A mold or fixture in use on one poste is never booked on another. When a poste is busy, work moves to an alternative poste or person.

Material decides the start, not the planner’s memory.

SkyPlanner checks stock and open supplier orders for every component. A job waiting for a delivery is planned after that delivery date.

Rush orders and breakdowns replanned automatically.

When a machine stops or an urgent order lands, Autopilot reschedules. Your locks and priorities stay in control, and the new dates go back to Divalto.

Operators see their queue.

Each operator sees the next séquences on a phone or tablet and logs work as it happens. The office sees progress live, and you choose whether time and completed cycles post back to Divalto.

How the Divalto integration works

  1. Divalto sends the work. OF with their séquences, gammes, nomenclatures, articles, centres de charge, postes de travail, opérateurs, outillages, stock and supplier orders flow into SkyPlanner.
  2. SkyPlanner builds the schedule and keeps it current. The Arcturus engine plans every séquence in seconds and replans as production changes.
  3. Dates and logged work go back. Planned start and end dates return to each OF and each séquence, including a new centre de charge or poste when work moves to an alternative. Logged time and completed cycles can post back too.

Divalto stays your system of record. Articles, nomenclatures, gammes, the CBN, purchasing, stock, costing and finance stay where they are. SkyPlanner owns one thing: the sequence and timing of every séquence on every resource.

SkyPlanner reads Divalto data through the RecordSql REST service. It writes back through Divalto’s WEBSERVICE_INFINITY REST service: the create_dataxml action drops a GG_DATES_ORDO file with the planned OF and séquence dates into the production scrutateur, and GG_TEMPS_IMPORT and GG_FIN_DE_CYCLE files carry time and completions. This is the same import format Divalto uses for planned dates from a scheduler. SkyPlanner webhooks push every schedule change as it happens, and the Divalto sync frequency is set per plant.

Every plant runs Divalto differently, so the SkyPlanner team configures the integration to your setup during onboarding and supports it after go-live. The integration is quoted up front for your process and needs. Your Divalto partner or your own developers can also build on SkyPlanner’s documented API (API reference).

Services, XML formats and data mapping are in the Divalto integration guide for production scheduling.

What Divalto schedules, and what SkyPlanner adds

Divalto infinity covers the whole production cycle: OF launch from the order or the CBN, jalonnement, plan de charge, an integrated MES and shop-floor time capture. Divalto’s own documentation sets the scope of its core planning:

  • Jalonnement is infinite capacity. Divalto states it plainly: “Il s’agit d’un jalonnement à CAPACITE INFINIE, raisonnement logiquement appliqué par les ERP.” (This is infinite capacity routing, the logic ERPs apply.)
  • Other OF on the same poste do not count. The run calculates a poste’s theoretical capacity “sans tenir compte des autres charges induites par d’autres OF à la même date et sur le même poste ou centre.”
  • The plan de charge shows load, not a sequence. It “illustre la charge induite par le portefeuille des OF sur les différents centres de charge et postes de travail” by day, week or month (Divalto planification).

Finite capacity scheduling in Divalto comes through Ordonnancement Opcenter APS, the Siemens Opcenter APS scheduler (formerly Preactor) connected to the Production menu. Divalto exports ateliers, centres de charge, postes, ressources, opérateurs, outillages and OF. The planner runs Opcenter APS and imports the planned dates back. Divalto writes that “Opcenter APS est donc déclenché par l’utilisateur” (Divalto docs).

Every step is explained in Does Divalto have finite capacity scheduling? For the concepts, see finite capacity scheduling.

How to choose a scheduler for Divalto

Divalto’s core planning fits a plant that needs OF dates from its gammes and a view of load per centre de charge. A plant whose postes are overbooked needs a finite sequence, and the real choice is between Ordonnancement Opcenter APS and SkyPlanner APS.

Opcenter APS is Siemens’ enterprise scheduler. Divalto connects it by file exchange: the “ordonnancement” box in the Production fiche starts a scrutateur, and the exchange folder is “un chemin Windows qui pointe vers le dossier contenant les fichiers .PRCDF”. Data goes in “par le biais de scripts d’importation” that the integrator can adapt. Grouping rules such as color or material set the Ultimate planning range apart from Standard. (Divalto docs)

Choose SkyPlanner over Opcenter APS when:

  • The plan must keep itself current. In Divalto, Opcenter APS runs when the planner starts it, then dates are imported. Autopilot replans automatically on every meaningful change, and the new dates go back to Divalto through GG_DATES_ORDO.
  • You want cloud software, not an exchange folder. SkyPlanner connects over Divalto’s REST services. Nobody runs exports and imports by hand, and there are no Opcenter import scripts to maintain. You test it on your own OF in the 30-day trial, and implementation is normally completed within weeks after onboarding starts.
  • Changeovers decide your output. Divalto ties grouping rules by color or material to the Ultimate range. In SkyPlanner the setting time matrix holds directional setup times between products, and “Allow similarity” groups jobs by a property such as a tool.
  • Operators, tools and material all limit the plan. Every machine, person, tool and material is finite, multi-operator séquences are staffed, alternative postes are used, and jobs start when stock or supplier orders deliver the material.
  • Every operator should work from the plan. Mobile Confirmations put the live queue on every phone or tablet, and users are unlimited: the price depends on workstations, not seats.
  • You want one monthly price. From 199 € per month, with the two-way integration configured and supported by the SkyPlanner team.

FAQ

What is the best scheduling add-on for Divalto?

SkyPlanner APS is a finite capacity scheduling add-on that integrates with Divalto infinity in both directions: OF and séquences, gammes, nomenclatures, postes de travail, opérateurs, outillages, stock and supplier orders flow in, and planned OF and séquence dates, time and completions flow back. Every machine, operator, tool and material is finite, and a directional setting time matrix sequences jobs for the least setup. Autopilot reschedules automatically when production changes. Pricing is from 199 € per month, and the free trial runs for 30 days.

Does Divalto have finite capacity scheduling?

Partly. Divalto’s own jalonnement is infinite capacity, by Divalto’s own statement. Finite scheduling comes through Ordonnancement Opcenter APS, which the planner runs from the Production menu with a file export and import. SkyPlanner APS schedules every machine, person, tool and material finitely beside Divalto and replans automatically.

What scheduling software integrates with Divalto?

SkyPlanner APS integrates with Divalto infinity in both directions. It reads OF, séquences, gammes, articles, postes and stock through the RecordSql REST service. It writes planned OF and séquence dates back through the WEBSERVICE_INFINITY create_dataxml action with a GG_DATES_ORDO file, plus time and completed cycles if you choose.

Does SkyPlanner replace Divalto’s GPAO?

No, it works on top of it. Divalto keeps articles, nomenclatures, gammes, the CBN, OF creation, purchasing, stock, costing and finance. SkyPlanner schedules your OF against real capacity and sends the dates back.

Should we use Opcenter APS or SkyPlanner?

SkyPlanner, when you want a finite schedule running in weeks that keeps itself current. In Divalto, Opcenter APS is started by the planner and exchanges files through a Windows folder, and grouping rules by color or material belong to the Ultimate range. SkyPlanner is cloud software on Divalto’s REST services, replans automatically, plans changeovers, tools, crews and material, and gives every operator their queue with unlimited users. You prove it on your own OF in the free trial.

How much does SkyPlanner cost for a Divalto plant?

From 199 € per month with 5 workstations included, plus 20 € per month per extra workstation. A workstation is a production resource with its own scheduled work queue. The integration is quoted up front for your process and needs, together with your plan, so you see the full cost before you start.

Does it work with Divalto in the Cloud and on premises?

Yes. SkyPlanner is a cloud service, and the integration uses Divalto’s REST services. The SkyPlanner team confirms the endpoint for your installation during scoping.

How long does implementation take?

Implementation is normally completed within weeks after onboarding starts. The team maps your centres de charge, postes and gammes, connects OF and supplier orders, and sends planned dates back. Everything is tested against your current plan before go-live.

Can we test SkyPlanner before integrating with Divalto?

Yes. The 30-day trial runs on an Excel export of your open Divalto OF. You see a finite capacity schedule of your own production before any integration work starts.
