A Workstation exception indicates that a Workstation is either at Capacity or unavailable. When an exception occurs, the Workstation will appear red on the GANTT Timeline.
There are several types of Workstation Exceptions.
- Maintenance: Workstations require maintenance to sustain functionality and prevent unplanned downtime. Regular upkeep, including software updates and hardware checks, helps identify and address issues before they escalate, ensuring uninterrupted workflow and equipment reliability.
With SkyPlanner, you can effortlessly Schedule and manage maintenance tasks, whether planned, emergency, or reactive, and seamlessly update your production plan in mere seconds.
- Cleaning: Regular Workstation cleaning is crucial for maintaining hygiene, productivity, and equipment efficiency. By keeping workstations tidy, employees can work more efficiently, reduce the risk of illness, and prolong the lifespan of electronic equipment.
Additionally, a clean and organized workspace fosters professionalism, safety, and mental well-being among employees, contributing to a positive work environment overall.
Just as in the case of maintenance, SkyPlanner considers these planned clean-up times when scheduling your production and can efficiently reschedule your plan in response to unexpected events.
- Move/Organize: Organizing or rearranging a Workstation is essential for optimizing workflow and maximizing productivity. By strategically placing equipment and supplies, employees can access what they need more efficiently, reducing time wasted searching for items.
Additionally, periodic Workstation organization helps prevent clutter buildup, promoting a safer and more visually appealing work environment.
SkyPlanner will consider the time it takes to complete this task to give a more realistic production scheduling time.
Remember that you can remove a Workstation exception at any time.
