Production quantity and ordered quantity are two fields that appear when creating an order item inside an order.

As its name implies, **production quantity** means the amount you will produce.

The**ordered quantity** means the amount the client requested.

The client might have requested a certain amount but your production quantity can be higher. This is because the manufacturer might want to have this product in the warehouse in case of reclamation or other motive.
