# How to add Overtime

In the manufacturing industry, it is common to occasionally need an extra shift to meet delivery deadlines.

To add extra time in **SkyPlanner**:

- Click on **Resources**and select **Shift Scheduling**

Here, you will see a **general calendar** of your work shifts.

- **Workstations** are listed alphabetically on the left side.
- Shifts are displayed in **different colors** (you can edit these colors in **Default Shifts**):
  - **Morning shift** is **blue**
  - **Afternoon shift** is **green**
- Inside each shift, you will see the **worker or group employees assigned** (if any of this options have been set up) to the workstation.

If you look closely, each shift has a **plus (+) icon** when you hover over a day, including weekends.

- Click on the **plus (+) icon** on **Saturday**, which we will use as an example.
- A new option will appear to **add an extra shift** for this day.

- You can assign an **individual worker** or a **group of employees** to this shift. In this case, we will choose **Adam Smith**.
- You can also select your default shifts or s**et custom working hours**

Since it is **Saturday**, we will allow Adam to **start at 10:00 AM and finish at 3:00 PM**.

- Finally, click **Save**.

Now, **Adam** appears in the calendar as during **Saturday**.

If you go to the **GANTT Timeline**, your extra shift will appear on the day you selected, in our example, during Saturday.
