# Consider the Materials

Checking warehouse materials before planning production prevents delays by ensuring your production has what it needs to start. This step avoids wasting time and resources on halted jobs.

**Consider the materials** is a feature that instructs **Arcturus**, **SkyPlanner's AI**, to consider the materials and resources available in the storage. To activate it, you only have to check on the box. 

To do this: 

- In the **GANTT Timeline**, pick any job and right-click on it. 
- A dropdown will appear; select **Job rules**.

- A new window will appear; go to **Global rules**.

- Look for **Consider the materials** option and check on the box.

- Finally, click **Save**. 

When this feature is activated, the warehouse is integrated into the production scheduling process, with the AI analyzing available materials, incoming shipments, and inventory levels to optimize production timelines and ensure smooth operations.

By utilizing **Consider the materials** , the AI can accurately determine the optimal start time for a job, ensuring no disruptions due to material shortages.
